MY BACKGROUND:
My areas of expertise include research and innovation policy as well as the impact of emerging technologies – particularly those involving automation and artificial intelligence – on human character. My work spans over the Baltics States as well as the European Commission and a range of international organisations such as OECD, World Bank, ESPON, Nordic Council of Ministers. I am at the forefront of work focused on digital economy and responsible innovation through collaborations with industry, government and other organisations. I completed my doctorate studies in Education at the University of East Anglia and graduated from the University of London with a Master’s degree in International business economics.
WHY AM I INTERESTED IN RESPONSIBLE RESEARCH AND INNOVATION:
I am interested in bringing a richer comprehension of RRI research topic as a whole and ensuring the interaction between society and research by providing a set of recommendations and tools to policymakers and active RRI stakeholders.
WHAT DO I HOPE TO LEARN / CONTRIBUTE AS COUNTRY CORRESPONDENT:
As SUPER MoRRI Country Correspondent I bring the theoretical and conceptual underpinnings of RRI as well as a thorough grounding in both quantitative research methods and qualitative methods such as benchmarking, statistical analysis, theory-based evaluation at international, national and institutional levels. I contribute with my in-depth knowledge of Lithuania’s research and innovation ecosystem to unpack the practices, concepts and relationships between RRI policies and their societal, democratic, economic, and scientific benefits.
